The only major wedding destination both Mumbai and Pune reach by road in about two hours. Mist over the valley by morning, a bonfire after dinner — and not a single boarding pass on the guest list.

Real Lonavala weddings
The photographs matter. So does what families remember from a well-planned luxury wedding: parents staying calm, guests feeling looked after, budgets staying visible and functions beginning on time.

Aamby Valley · Lonavala
These couples trusted us. Their Lonavala weddings were planned with one accountable team, one flat fee and zero vendor markups.
Guest lists split between Mumbai and Pune; couples who want a full-estate takeover — Aamby Valley's township or a private villa estate — with cool evenings that end around a bonfire rather than under a hotel chandelier.
From June to September the hills sit in cloud — striking for portraits, unforgiving for an open lawn without a rehearsed wet-weather switch. Caterer trucks need their own schedule for the Khopoli climb, generator capacity differs sharply between properties, and several enforce strict sound rules after dark.
We hold the venue shortlist, write the wet-weather switch into every function sheet, stage catering supplies on the hill in advance, sequence both city convoys into arrival waves and contract power backup property by property — settled long before the first car leaves Mumbai.
Valley views book the venue; logistics decide how the weekend feels. Parents want the convoy handled, guests want a room key waiting at noon, and the couple should stand in the mandap without once checking a phone.

Ceremony build, valley-lawn staging, convoy arrival waves, priest and music timing

Weekend function flow, hill catering supply, arrival desk, rain-switch rehearsal

Mandap design and florals, vendor truck scheduling, rooming list, weekend run sheet
Ninety kilometres from Mumbai, sixty-five from Pune: either city reaches the venue by road in about two hours, so grandparents, doctors-on-call and last-minute guests simply get in the car.
Monsoon mist is the signature of these hills — from June to September the valley fills with cloud, and even in dry months the mornings open cool and grey-green over the ghats.
Aamby Valley's self-contained township and the private villa estates scattered around Lonavala allow a genuine takeover: your guests, your schedule, your sound.
Nobody lands jet-lagged, so the weekend starts at full energy — guests leave home after breakfast and are dancing at the haldi by lunch.
October to May runs 15°C to 28°C, and winter nights get cold enough that a bonfire-and-blanket round after the sangeet becomes the part guests retell for years.
Both sides of the family travel as convoys from opposite ends of the expressway and meet in the middle — an arrival story no airport can stage.

A wedding in Lonavala should feel unhurried — every hour planned so your family can simply be present.
Lonavala hands photographers cloud-filtered light that flatters every outdoor frame, then bonfire glow after dark. What families talk about a year later is quieter: cars that arrived in order, rooms ready at noon, a rain plan that never had to announce itself.
Ready to plan your Lonavala wedding?
What makes Lonavala easy for guests makes it demanding for production: one expressway climb that every vendor truck shares, properties running on independent generators, and skies that can turn between haldi and sangeet. Our job is to have answered all three on paper, months early.
These are two different products. The resorts put you minutes off the expressway with proven banquet teams; Aamby Valley hands you an entire gated township. Guest count, takeover appetite and production scale decide which one earns your dates.
Give us your month, headcount and whether you want a full takeover. You get back properties that genuinely fit: which estates buy out, which lawns hold a 300-guest mandap, where the indoor switch is strong enough for a monsoon date, and what the drive means for your older guests.

Kunegaon, Lonavala
Best for: Adventure-park energy on the property, big lawns, full takeover possible — built for large multi-function programmes.

Shillimb, Lonavala
Best for: Spa-and-forest estate with valley-edge ceremony spots — suits smaller lists that want quiet, nature-first luxury.

Lonavala, Maharashtra
Best for: Long-running hill resort with dependable room inventory and lawns sized for mid-scale functions.

Lonavala, Maharashtra
Best for: Green, garden-led and compact — sized for close-family celebrations rather than spectacle.

Aamby Valley, Maharashtra
Best for: A township to yourselves: own airstrip for VIP arrivals, internal hospitality and room for production at any scale.

Planning & production standards

Design, hospitality & family experience

Detail discipline, guest flow, execution
Mumbai arrives from the west, Pune from the east. We release both convoys in timed waves around the Khopoli climb so coaches, cars and caterer trucks never queue behind one another at the property gate.
Every outdoor function carries a named indoor alternative, checked on the walk-through and written into each vendor's brief. If the valley clouds over mid-event, the switch takes minutes, not meetings.
You pay Elite one professional fee. Every venue and vendor invoice reaches you at its actual figure — nothing added on top, nothing accepted behind it.
From private villa estates to the Aamby Valley township, we contract buyouts with the inclusions in writing — rooms, lawns, power, sound windows and vendor access, from first recce to farewell brunch.
Haldi, sangeet, pheras, bonfire night and the send-off brunch sit on a single production timeline, so nothing is being torn down while the next function needs the crew.
Sujay Pathak, Ruchita Pathak and Aloha Mehta sign off the plan for every Lonavala celebration themselves — the standard does not get delegated.
Treat the expressway as a function of its own. A 200-person Mumbai list needs cars and coaches released in timed waves ahead of the Khopoli climb, while the Pune side covers its 65 km from the opposite direction — we stage water, refreshments and an arrival desk for the moment the two streams meet.
Hill properties run on their own generators and their own noise rules. We audit both during the recce, contract backup power where the house supply runs thin, and design the after-dark programme around each property's sound window instead of fighting it.
What a Lonavala wedding costs turns on a handful of levers: full takeover or room block, how many functions sit outdoors with cover contingency, production scale on the hill, and the size of both convoys. Send your headcount and shortlist and we will put honest ranges against each lever — not one meaningless number.
Tell us guest count, month and budget, and we'll shortlist the right fit.
We'll audit it for guest flow, backup spaces and real logistics before you block dates.
We help families decide by guest profile, budget shape and the experience you want.
Send your month, the Mumbai–Pune split of your guest list and the kind of property you imagine. You will get a straight read back: which estates fit, what monsoon risk your date carries, and how the drive works for both convoys.
